Additional info:
Bezel setting is the technique of encasing Sea Glass around the back and sides of the Sea Glass piece and folding in the edges to keep it safe and secure.
Attendees must be 16 years of age and above.
Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult (there is no extra fee). If you / or someone you know are wishing to attend a workshop and are under 16 years, please send me an email and I will be happy to help.
Sensible, closed shoes required and no loose clothing: things can get a little messy in a jewellery making environment and whilst apron’s are provided, it’s worth bearing in mind not to wear your very best clothes!
As this course is a full day, please bring your own packed lunch. Alternatively, if you’d like to treat yourself… Muddy Beach Cafe, Sunshine Studio Cafe and Baileys Country Store are all close by!
It is not advised to attend this workshop during pregnancy, as some products used in this studio have health and safety warnings against that. Please reach out if you’d like to talk about this.
Extra’s:
Should you wish to have your Sea Glass cut into a specific shape and size (cabochon) beforehand, for example a perfect tear drop or circle, I can do so for an additional fee of £30. You can either come into the studio and pre-select one of mine, or bring your own. Please let me know in advance if you would like this option as it will need to be cut before the day.
Once the course has been completed you will be able to hire 1 of 4 available silversmithing benches – fully equipped with tools included – for a day rate of £20. This will enable you to continue to develop your new skills independently. Please note, you will need to bring your own silver. I am happy to guide you on what you need to order and where from.
Let’s make magic together…
